Dr. Tolga Göktürk

Lecturer, Department of Chemistry Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University

My academic research is primarily focused on inorganic chemistry, particularly coordination chemistry, with an emphasis on the design, synthesis, and comprehensive characterization of novel ligands and metal complexes. During my doctoral studies, I developed Schiff base–1,2,3-triazole hybrid systems and carried out extensive investigations on their DNA/BSA interactions and topoisomerase IIα inhibition properties. I also work on functional molecules with potential applications in energy storage and electrochemical sensor systems.

The core objective of my research is to elucidate structure–activity relationships and develop new molecular systems contributing to both biomedical applications and advanced functional materials.
